Transliteration

sā tathoktā tu vaidehī nirbhayā śokakarśitā |

tṛṇam antarataḥ kṛtvā rāvaṇaṃ pratyabhāṣata ||

Translation

Setelah demikian dikatakan, Vaidehī—meski diluluhlantakkan duka—tanpa gentar meletakkan sehelai rumput di antara dirinya dan Rāvaṇa, lalu menjawabnya.
