मारीचस्य रावणं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Maricha’s Counsel on Kingship and Ruin to Ravana
केनेदमुपदिष्टं ते क्षुद्रेणाहितवादिना।यस्त्वामिच्छति नश्यन्तं स्वकृतेन निशाचर।।।।
kenedaṃ upadiṣṭaṃ te kṣudreṇāhitavādinā | yas tvām icchati naśyantaṃ svakṛtena niśācara ||
Wahai pengembara malam, oleh siapa—oleh penasihat hina yang berkata buruk—engkau diajari demikian? Siapa yang menghendaki engkau binasa oleh perbuatanmu sendiri, bukanlah sahabatmu.
O Ravana! by which mean fellow is this advice given against your welfare? Who wants you to be destroyed by your own action.
