The Slaying (Burial) of Viradha
ततस्तु तौ काञ्चनचित्रकार्मुकौ निहत्य रक्षः परिगृह्य मैथिलीम्।विजह्रतु स्तौ मुदितौ महावने दिवि स्थितौ चन्द्रदिवाकराविव।।।।
tatas tu tau kāñcana-citra-kārmukau nihatya rakṣaḥ parigṛhya maithilīm | vijahratuḥ stau muditau mahā-vane divi sthitau candra-divākarāv iva ||
Kemudian, setelah membunuh rākṣasa itu, kedua pahlawan yang memanggul busur indah berhias emas itu membawa Maithilī bersama mereka; dengan hati gembira mereka mengembara di rimba besar, laksana Bulan dan Matahari yang bertakhta di langit.
Although pierced by arrows, and wounded by the two swords, and pulverized on the ground, the demon did not die.

After disposing of Virādha, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa continue through the forest with Sītā.
