FAQs

It emphasizes mediated ritual performance: auspicious recitations are to be done by a qualified Brahmin, enabling the proper completion of śrāddha rites even for those not traditionally reciters of Vedic mantras.

Vṛddhi-śrāddha is a śrāddha performed on occasions connected with “increase” or prosperity—such as auspicious life events—distinct from routine or periodic ancestral offerings.

It conveys an inclusive, duty-centered ethic: ancestral rites and auspicious observances are not denied wholesale by birth-status; they may be performed appropriately through proper procedure and qualified assistance.
