Means to Slay Tāraka: Girijā’s Birth, Kāma’s Burning, and Umā’s Austerities

सभेयं दैत्यसिंहस्य न शक्रस्य विशृंखला । वदद्भिरिति दैत्यस्य प्रेष्यैर्विहसिता बहु

sabheyaṃ daityasiṃhasya na śakrasya viśṛṃkhalā | vadadbhiriti daityasya preṣyairvihasitā bahu

“Balairung ini milik singa di antara para Daitya, bukan milik Śakra (Indra) yang tak terbelenggu!”—demikian kata para pengikut Daitya itu, lalu mereka mengejek dengan keterlaluan.
