Ritual voice/narrator invoking Śiva (Śaṅkara) within a sacrificial context (homa/ārati style praise).

Concept: Ghee, born of ‘union’ and shining like nectar, becomes the luminous medium of worship; the divine is pleased through the sacrificial flame.

Application: Treat the ‘medium’ of your practice (breath, speech, food, work) as sacred—when the medium is pure, the offering becomes radiant.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A homa fire rises in a controlled, spiraling flame as ghee is poured, making the blaze gleam like liquid nectar. FAQs

Ghee is a primary oblation in Vedic fire-rituals; it sustains the flame and symbolizes purity and life-sap. The verse links ghee’s “nectar-like” brilliance to the sanctity of the offering and its power to please Śiva.

“Viśvātmā” presents Śaṅkara as the indwelling Self of the cosmos—implying that the ritual is not directed to a merely local deity but to the universal divine presence pervading all.

It emphasizes sincerity and purity in worship: offering what is pure and life-sustaining (ghee) with reverence, while recognizing the deity as the universal Self, aligns ritual action with inner devotion.
