Uncertain (context not provided; likely a narrator-sage addressing a king within the Bhūmi-khaṇḍa dialogue frame)

Concept: Merit is not only about what is done, but when it is done; acting at the auspicious moment naturally turns a person into a ‘puṇya-kara’ (maker of merit).

Application: Choose one daily ‘su-velā’ (sunrise, noon, dusk) for a consistent act: brief japa, a small donation, or gratitude-prayer; consistency converts ordinary life into dharma.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A sage instructs a crowned king beneath a banyan tree near a quiet hermitage, pointing toward the sky where the sun’s position marks the ‘su-velā’. The air feels orderly and auspicious, as if time itself is a sacred wheel turning, inviting the king to act rightly.","primary_figures":["Pulastya (or a venerable rishi)","a king (bhūpa)","attendant disciples"],"setting":"forest āśrama with yajña-vedi, water pot (kamaṇḍalu), palm-leaf manuscripts, distant river glint","lighting_mood":"forest dappled","color_palette":["sandalwood beige","leaf green","saffron","smoke gray","sky blue"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: rishi teaching a king about auspicious time, gold leaf highlighting the sun-disc and a circular kāla-mandala motif, rich crimson royal garments, ornate throne-carpet, stylized trees, traditional South Indian iconographic symmetry and decorative borders.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate counsel scene under a banyan, cool greens and soft blues, refined faces, delicate textiles, a small sun in the corner indicating time, lyrical landscape with a thin river line and distant hills.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, rishi with kamaṇḍalu and jata, king with stylized crown, a large symbolic time-wheel behind them, warm red/yellow/green palette, temple-wall compositional flatness with patterned foliage.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central circular kāla-mandala framed by floral borders, rishi and king in devotional posture, lotus and vine motifs, deep indigo background with gold accents, intricate textile patterns on garments."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Yaman","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["rustling leaves","soft drone (tanpura)","occasional temple bell","distant river hush"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: पुण्यविवर्द्धनम् = पुण्य + विवर्द्धनम् (षष्ठी-तत्पुरुष); संप्राप्तायां = संप्राप्तायाम् (अनुस्वार-लेखनभेद).

FAQs

It teaches that certain dharmic acts, performed at the right auspicious time (suvelā), become especially merit-increasing and continuously augment puṇya.

“Suvelā” implies a favorable or sacred time—often tied to proper timing for vows, bathing, worship, charity, or pilgrimage—when spiritual results are believed to intensify.

Be attentive to opportunities for timely right action: when a fitting moment for dharma arrives, act then—because disciplined, well-timed conduct compounds moral and spiritual benefit.
