Puruṣottama-māhātmya
The Greatness of Puruṣottama Kṣetra
हारकेयूरसंयुक्तं मुकुटांगदधारिणम् । सर्वलक्षणसंयुक्तं सर्वेन्द्रियविवर्जितम् ॥ ७८ ॥
hārakeyūrasaṃyuktaṃ mukuṭāṃgadadhāriṇam | sarvalakṣaṇasaṃyuktaṃ sarvendriyavivarjitam || 78 ||
Berhias kalung dan gelang lengan, mengenakan mahkota dan angada; memiliki segala tanda mulia, namun melampaui seluruh indria.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents the Purāṇic paradox of the Divine: the Lord is described with regal ornaments and auspicious signs (saguṇa upāsanā), yet is ultimately beyond sensory limitation—pointing to transcendence and mokṣa.
It supports bhakti by allowing meditation on a beautiful, ornamented form of Viṣṇu, while reminding the devotee that the Lord is not confined to material perception—devotion matures from form-based contemplation to inner realization.
The verse mainly serves dhyāna and iconographic contemplation rather than a specific Vedāṅga; practically, it aids mantra-japa and visualization by giving precise attributes for focused worship.
