Narrator (Purāṇic narrator; likely Sūta in the standard Purāṇa frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights vinaya (humility) as a core dharma: recognizing divine and saintly presence, one should rise, offer namaskāra, and honor the cosmic order represented by Brahmā, the devas, and the ṛṣis.
Bhakti is expressed through reverent action (ācāra): physically rising and bowing is an outward sign of inner devotion and surrender, training the mind to see the sacred in divine beings and realized sages.
It reflects śikṣā/ācāra (discipline of proper conduct in sacred settings): when elders, devas, or gurus arrive, one should stand, greet, and offer respectful salutations as part of dhārmic etiquette.
