ऋषिस्तस्मात्परत्वेन भूतादिरृषयस्ततः ऋषिपुत्रा ऋषीकास्तु मैथुनाद्गर्भसम्भवाः //
ṛṣistasmātparatvena bhūtādirṛṣayastataḥ ṛṣiputrā ṛṣīkāstu maithunādgarbhasambhavāḥ //
Karena kedudukan (rohani) yang tinggi, mereka disebut ‘Ṛṣi’; kemudian Bhūta dan yang lain dikenal sebagai ṛṣi-ṛṣi purba. Adapun ‘Ṛṣīkā’ ialah putri para ṛṣi, lahir dari persetubuhan dan dikandung dalam rahim.
