Matsya Purana — Manvantaras, Shloka 22

वर्णाश्रमेषु युक्तस्य सुखोदर्कस्य स्वर्गतौ श्रौतस्मार्तो हि यो धर्मो ज्ञानधर्मः स उच्यते //

varṇāśrameṣu yuktasya sukhodarkasya svargatau śrautasmārto hi yo dharmo jñānadharmaḥ sa ucyate //

Bagi orang yang teguh dalam kewajiban varṇa dan āśrama, yang praktiknya berbuah kebahagiaan dan mengarah pada jalan menuju surga, dharma yang diajarkan oleh Śruti dan Smṛti itulah yang disebut Jñāna-dharma (Dharma Pengetahuan).
