Matsya Purana — Devayānī Meets Yayāti: Courtship, Shloka 35

वहस्व भार्यां धर्मेण देवयानीं शुचिस्मिताम् अनया सह सम्प्रीतिम् अतुलां समवाप्नुहि //

vahasva bhāryāṃ dharmeṇa devayānīṃ śucismitām anayā saha samprītim atulāṃ samavāpnuhi //

Menurut dharma, terimalah Devayānī yang senyumnya suci sebagai istri yang sah; dan bersamanya capailah kasih sayang timbal balik yang tiada banding dan langgeng.
