Adhyaya 41 — Secondary Creation
व्यस्ते विधूमे व्यङ्गारे सर्वस्मिन् भुक्तवज्जने । अटेत योगविद् भैक्ष्यं न तु त्रिष्वेव नित्यशः ॥
vyaste vidhūme vyaṅgāre sarvasmin bhuktavaj jane | aṭeta yogavid bhaikṣyaṃ na tu triṣv eva nityaśaḥ ||
Setelah masakan disingkirkan, asap lenyap, bara padam, dan semua orang telah makan, maka sang ahli yoga hendaknya pergi meminta sedekah; namun jangan setiap hari hanya pada tiga rumah saja.

The yogin should not inconvenience householders (beg after they have eaten and finished cooking) and should avoid dependence or favoritism by not fixing upon a small set of houses.
Ascetic conduct (yati-dharma) instruction; not pañcalakṣaṇa.
Regulating alms-taking disciplines desire and expectation; the ‘three houses’ restriction prevents subtle attachment and the formation of social identity around patronage.
