हि >> मो न [हुक अऑष्टआ अपा एकत्रिशो<5 ध्याय: चारों पाण्डवोंसहित राजा विराटकी सेनाका युद्धके लिये प्रस्थान वैशम्पायन उवाच ततस्तेषां महाराज तत्रैवामिततेजसाम् | छदझलिड्जप्रविष्टानां पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tataḥ teṣāṃ mahārāja tatraiva amit-tejasām | chadma-liṅga-praviṣṭānāṃ pāṇḍavānāṃ mahātmanām ||
Waiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Raja, para Pāṇḍava yang berhati luhur dan bercahaya tak terukur itu tetap tinggal di sana juga; setelah memasuki penyamaran, mereka hidup tersembunyi di kota yang mulia itu, sambil menjalankan urusan Raja Virāṭa, hingga tahun ketiga belas mereka berlalu dengan sempurna.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined adherence to dharma under constraint: the Pāṇḍavas protect their vow by maintaining concealment, serving a righteous purpose without abandoning duty, patience, and self-control even when power and honor are at stake.
Vaiśampāyana summarizes that the Pāṇḍavas, living in King Virāṭa’s realm under assumed identities, successfully complete the final (thirteenth) year of their exile while managing the king’s affairs—setting the stage for their eventual revelation and the coming conflict.
