vaiśampāyana uvāca |
kīcake tu hate rājā virāṭaḥ paravīrahā |
śokam āhārayat tīvraṃ sāmātyaḥ sapurohitaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Raja, ketika Kīcaka terbunuh, Raja Virāṭa—penumpas para jawara musuh—tenggelam dalam duka yang amat dalam, bersama para menterinya dan pendeta istananya.”
