तलाभ्यां स तु भीमेन वक्षस्यभिहतो बली । कीचको रोषसंतप्त: पदान्न चलित: पदम्,इतनेमें ही भीमने दोनों हथेलियोंसे कीचककी छातीपर प्रहार किया। चोट खाकर बलवान् कीचक क्रोधसे जल उठा, किंतु अपने स्थानसे एक पग भी विचलित नहीं हुआ
talābhyāṃ sa tu bhīmena vakṣasy abhihato balī | kīcako roṣa-saṃtaptaḥ padān na calitaḥ padam ||
Saat itu Bhima yang perkasa menghantam dada Kicaka dengan kedua telapak tangan terbuka. Meski pukulan itu mengenai sasaran dan Kicaka menyala oleh amarah, ia tetap tidak bergeser walau selangkah dari tempatnya berdiri.
