Daśagrīva-boonāvaraṇa, Viṣṇv-avatāra-niyoga, Vānara-sahāya-janana, Mantharā-nirmāṇa

वपुरन्यदिवाकार्षुरुत्साहामर्षचेष्टितै: । “अब तो वनवासका थोड़ा-सा ही समय शेष रह गया है, ऐसा समझकर नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डवोंने उत्साह एवं अमर्षयुक्त चेष्टाओंसे अपने शरीरको किसी और ही प्रकारका बना लिया था

vapūr anyad iva ākārṣur utsāhāmarṣa-ceṣṭitaiḥ |

Ketika mereka menyadari bahwa masa pembuangan di hutan tinggal sedikit, para Pāṇḍava—yang terbaik di antara manusia—dengan tindakan yang dipenuhi semangat baru dan amarah yang benar, seakan mengubah tubuh mereka sendiri, seolah menjadi sama sekali berbeda.
