Jayadratha Restrained, Shamed, and Released
The verse highlights how witnessing another’s greatness can awaken ambition; ethically, it invites reflection on whether one’s desire is aligned with dharma and whether the means of fulfilling it are rightful.
A speaker, impressed by the Pāṇḍava’s magnificent Rājasūya sacrifice, expresses a wish to perform the same and urges a sūta’s son—addressed respectfully—to help accomplish that desire.
