जयद्रथ-निग्रहः — Jayadratha Restrained, Shamed, and Released
प्रवर्ततां यथान्यायं सर्वतो हरनिवारित: । “भारत! उसी हलसे आपके यज्ञमण्डपकी भूमि जोती जाय। नृपश्रेष्ठ) उस जोती हुई भूमिमें ही उत्तम संस्कारसे सम्पन्न
pravartatāṃ yathānyāyaṃ sarvato haranivāritaḥ |
Waiśampāyana berkata: “Biarlah upacara itu berlangsung menurut tata yang benar, dengan segala penjuru dijaga agar tak ada perampasan atas apa yang diperuntukkan bagi ritus. Wahai Bhārata, bajaklah tanah gelanggang yajñamu dengan bajak itu juga; dan wahai raja terbaik, di atas tanah yang telah dibajak itu hendaklah yajña dimulai sebagaimana mestinya—ditahbiskan oleh upacara yang tepat, berlimpah makanan dan minuman, serta terbuka bagi semua.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Ritual action must align with dharma: it should be performed according to proper rule (yathā-nyāyam), without wrongful seizure or coercion (haranivāritaḥ), and with generous, inclusive hospitality—food and drink provided and access open to all.
Vaiśampāyana reports instructions for commencing a yajña: the sacrificial ground in the yajña-maṇḍapa is to be ploughed with the specified plough, and then the sacrifice is to be initiated on that prepared ground with correct consecrations and ample provisions, conducted in an orderly and publicly accessible manner.
