पर्वताश्व नमस्कृत्य तमेव पृथिवीं गता: । अथैनमभजल्लोक: स्कन्दं शुक्लस्य पठचमीम्‌

Transliteration

parvatāśvaṁ namaskṛtya tameva pṛthivīṁ gatāḥ | athainam abhajallokaḥ skandaṁ śuklasya pañcamīm ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: Setelah bersujud hormat kepada Parvatāśva, mereka kembali lagi ke bumi. Sejak saat itu, orang-orang mulai memuja Dewa Skanda pada hari kelima (pañcamī) paruh terang (śukla-pakṣa) setiap bulan.
