इत्येष वंश: सुमहानग्नीनां कीर्तितो मया । योडर्चितो विविधैर्मन्त्रैहव्यं वहति देहिनाम्,इस प्रकार मेरेद्वारा अग्निदेवके महान् वंशका प्रतिपादन किया गया। वे भगवान् अग्नि विविध वेदमन्त्रोंद्वार पूजित होकर देहधारियोंके दिये हुए हविष्यको देवताओंके पास पहुँचाते हैं
ity eṣa vaṁśaḥ sumahān agnīnāṁ kīrtito mayā | yo 'rcito vividhair mantrair havyaṁ vahati dehinām ||
Demikianlah telah kukisahkan silsilah para Dewa-Api yang amat agung. Sang Agni Ilahi, ketika dipuja dengan berbagai mantra suci, mengusung persembahan (havis) dari makhluk berjasad dan menyampaikannya kepada para dewa.
