व्याध उवाच अनतिक्रमणीया वै ब्राह्मुणा मे द्विजोत्तम | शृणु सर्वमिदं वृत्तं पूर्वदेहे ममानघ,धर्मव्याधने कहा--विप्रवर! मुझे ब्राह्मगोंका अपराध कभी नहीं करना चाहिये। अनघ! मेरे पूर्वजन्मके शरीरद्वारा जो घटना घटित हुई है, वह सब बताता हूँ, सुनिये

Transliteration

vyādha uvāca | anatikramaṇīyā vai brāhmaṇā me dvijottama | śṛṇu sarvam idaṁ vṛttaṁ pūrvadehe mamānagha ||

Translation

Sang pemburu berkata: “Wahai yang terbaik di antara para dwija, aku tak boleh sekali pun melampaui batas terhadap para brāhmaṇa. Wahai yang tanpa noda, dengarkan—akan kuceritakan sepenuhnya peristiwa yang terjadi melalui tubuhku pada kelahiran terdahulu.”
