उत्तड़क उवाच
A king’s dharma includes protecting society and ensuring public welfare; when violence threatens the innocent and disrupts sacred life, the ruler is urged to remove the threat for lokahita (the good of all).
Uttanka tells the king that due to a rākṣasa’s menace he cannot remain in his own hermitage, and he petitions the king to destroy the demon for the benefit of the people.
