अक्षयाणि किलैतानि विवर्तन्ते सम मातले । अनुभावप्रयुक्तानि सुरैरवजितानि ह

Transliteration

akṣayāṇi kilaitāni vivartante sma mātale | anubhāva-prayuktāni surair avajitāni ha deva-sārathe ||

Translation

Kaṇva berkata: “Sungguh, wahai Mātali, senjata-senjata ini tak dapat binasa. Bila digerakkan oleh daya yang melekat padanya, ia menumbangkan musuh lalu kembali lagi ke tangan tuannya yang sah. Dahulu para Dānava memakainya menurut kekuatan mereka; tetapi kini para dewa telah menaklukkannya dan menempatkannya di bawah kuasa mereka, wahai sais para dewa.”
