Kuntī’s Lament and Govinda’s Consolation
आवूृतानि वरस्त्रीभिर्गुहाणि सुमहान्त्यपि । प्रचलन्तीव भारेण दृश्यन्ते सम महीतले
āvṛtāni varastrībhiḥ guhāṇi sumahānty api | pracalantīva bhāreṇa dṛśyante sama mahītale ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Bahkan istana-istana yang sangat besar, penuh sesak oleh para wanita jelita yang berhimpun untuk memandang Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa, tampak di tanah yang rata seolah-olah bergoyang oleh beratnya kerumunan.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the magnetic, auspicious presence of Śrī Kṛṣṇa: people—here, especially noble women—are drawn to behold him, suggesting reverence and devotion expressed through collective public gathering.
As Kṛṣṇa is to be seen, crowds assemble in such numbers that even large residences appear to tremble under the weight of those packed inside, conveying the scale of the gathering and the excitement of the moment.
