एवं ता भीरु रोत्स्यन्ति निहतज्ञातिबान्धवा: । हतमित्रा हतबला येषां क्रुद्धासि भामिनि
evaṁ tā bhīru rotsyanti nihatājñātibāndhavāḥ | hatamitrā hatabalā yeṣāṁ kruddhāsi bhāmini ||
Wahai yang pemalu, demikianlah para perempuan itu akan menangis—kehilangan sanak dan kerabat, sahabat terbunuh dan kekuatan mereka patah—sebab engkau, wahai wanita yang bergelora, telah murka kepada mereka.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores the moral consequence of wrath: anger that drives conflict results in the suffering of innocents—especially families—who are left to mourn slain relatives, friends, and protectors.
Vaiśampāyana narrates a warning addressed to a woman (bhīru/bhāmini): because of her anger, others—described as women deprived of kin, allies, and strength—will be left lamenting in the aftermath of violence.
