एकैकमेते राजेन्द्र मनुष्यान् पर्युपासते । यैराविष्टो नर: पाप॑ मूढसंज्ञो व्यवस्यति,राजेन्द्र! क्रमशः एकके पीछे दूसरा आकर ये सभी दोष मनुष्योंको प्राप्त होते जाते हैं, जिनके वशमें होकर मूढ़बुद्धि मानव पापकर्म करने लगता है
ekaikametē rājendra manuṣyān paryupāsate | yair āviṣṭo naraḥ pāpaṁ mūḍhasaṁjño vyavasyati ||
Wahai raja, cela-cela ini mendatangi manusia satu demi satu, berturut-turut. Ketika seseorang dikuasai olehnya, pengertiannya menjadi tersesat, dan ia pun berketetapan untuk melakukan perbuatan dosa.
