The verse highlights dharmic conduct expressed through humility and respectful greeting (standing with joined palms). Even powerful figures—kings and ascetics alike—honor worthiness through self-restraint and reverence.
A person arrives or is beheld; upon seeing him, the gathered ascetics, a highly disciplined king, and an ascetic princess all rise and stand with folded hands, indicating formal respect and recognition.
