Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)
The verse highlights how identity and social context are established through lineage-recitation, and it frames suffering in terms of perceived moral causality—here, the afflicted person assigns responsibility for her misfortune to Bhīṣma, raising questions of agency, duty, and accountability.
Hotravāhana reports that he has recognized the woman based on her stated genealogy, and he conveys her conviction that Bhīṣma is the principal cause behind the suffering she is experiencing.
