क्रोधस्तेजश्न॒ तपसा सम्भूतो55श्रमवासिनाम्‌ | द्रोणेनानुगृहीतश्न दिव्यैरस्त्रैरुदारधी:

krodhas tejaś ca tapasā sambhūto 'śramavāsinām | droṇenānugṛhītaś ca divyair astrair udāradhīḥ ||

Dalam dirinya ada amarah dan nyala keperkasaan; juga terkumpul daya tapa yang lahir dari laku para maharṣi penghuni pertapaan. Budi-akalnya luhur dan lapang; dan Droṇa, berkenan besar kepadanya, telah mengajarinya seluruh pengetahuan senjata-senjata ilahi.
