Bhishma–Dhritarashtra Dialogue: Appraisal of Pandava Strength
The verse links martial prowess with moral reputation: a warrior’s effectiveness in battle is framed alongside satya-śravas (true fame), suggesting that power gains ethical weight when grounded in truth and honorable conduct, even amid the inevitability of Kāla (Death/Time).
Bhīṣma is describing a notable prince-warrior, Bṛhaddhala, to the king, emphasizing that he is a formidable chariot-fighter who will move through the opposing forces with the unstoppable force of Death.
