पिता त्वस्य महातेजा वृद्धो5पि युवभिर्वर: । रणे कर्म महत् कर्ता अत्र मे नास्ति संशय:
pitā tv asya mahātejā vṛddho 'pi yuvabhir varaḥ | raṇe karma mahat kartā atra me nāsti saṁśayaḥ ||
Ayahnya adalah Drona yang berdaya cahaya agung. Walau telah lanjut usia, ia tetap lebih unggul daripada para muda. Dalam perang ini ia akan menunaikan perbuatan-perbuatan besar; tentang itu aku tak meragukannya.
