नतु पर्यायधर्मेण सिद्धि प्राप्नोति मानव: । मनसैवानुकूलानि धातैव कुरुते वशे
na tu paryāyadharmeṇa siddhiṁ prāpnoti mānavaḥ | manasaivānukūlāni dhātaiva kurute vaśe |
Seseorang tidak meraih keberhasilan sejati hanya dengan dharma yang sekadar tampak atau bersifat formal. Sang Penentu (Vidhātā) sajalah yang, dengan kekuatan kehendak, menundukkan peristiwa dan makhluk agar menjadi menguntungkan dan berada dalam kuasa-Nya.
संजय उवाच
Mere outward or conventional observance of dharma does not guarantee accomplishment; ultimate outcomes are governed by the cosmic Ordainer (dhātā), who can, by sheer resolve, make circumstances favorable and bring all under control.
