Vāyu berkata: “Ia dermawan, teguh pada ikrar kebenaran, dan tekun mengupayakan kesejahteraan semua makhluk. Ia hidup menurut ajaran ayahnya, dan demikian pula menaati ketetapan śāstra yang diajarkan para Brāhmaṇa.”

The verse presents an ethical ideal: generosity joined with unwavering truthfulness, universal benevolence, and disciplined obedience to legitimate authority—especially one’s father and the dharmic guidance of learned Brāhmaṇas.
Vāyu is describing a person’s character by listing virtues and conduct: he is portrayed as charitable, faithful to truth and promises, committed to the good of all beings, and living according to the instructions of his father and the prescriptions upheld by Brāhmaṇas.
