अलब्ध्वा यदि वा लब्ध्वा नानुशोचति पण्डित: । आनन्तर्य चारभते न प्राणानां धनायते,विद्वान पुरुषको अभीष्ट फलकी प्राप्ति हो या न हो, वह उसके लिये शोक नहीं करता। वह (अपनी पूरी शक्तिके अनुसार) प्राणपर्यन्त निरन्तर चेष्टा करता है और अपने लिये धनकी इच्छा नहीं करता
Translation
Orang bijak tidak meratap, baik ketika hasil yang diinginkan tak didapat maupun ketika didapat. Ia berusaha tanpa putus hingga akhir hayat, dan tidak mempertaruhkan nyawa demi harta.
