Udyoga Parva — Gandhārī’s Counsel to Duryodhana
सम्यग्वृत्तेष्वलुब्धेषु सततं धर्मचारिषु । स्वेषु बन्धुषु कः साधुश्नरेदेवमसाम्प्रतम्,“सदा धर्ममें ही तत्पर रहनेवाले लोभरहित सदाचारी अपने बन्धुओंके प्रति कौन साधु पुरुष ऐसा अयोग्य बर्ताव करेगा?
samyagvṛtteṣv alubdheṣu satataṁ dharmacāriṣu | sveṣu bandhuṣu kaḥ sādhuḥ naredevaṁ asāmpratam ||
Terhadap sanak-kerabat sendiri yang berperilaku lurus, bebas dari ketamakan, dan senantiasa menempuh dharma—pada saat seperti ini, orang baik mana yang akan bertindak begitu tidak patut dan hina?
