Etymology of Wealth and the Gurudakṣiṇā Predicament of Gālava
A righteous resolve (saṅkalpa) should aim at elevating the worthy toward the highest good. Garuḍa’s intention to carry an accomplished ascetic to Prajāpati’s realm highlights reverence for tapas, spiritual attainment, and the moral duty to support those aligned with dharma.
Garuḍa (Suparṇa) addresses a brāhmaṇa and declares his inner decision: he will take the siddhā ascetic woman from the present place to the divine region where Prajāpati (Brahmā) dwells. It is a transition moment—announcing the next action and destination in the episode.
