Even formidable beings can be subdued without violence when a greater regulating force intervenes; the verse highlights restraint and the humbling of arrogance through an impersonal power (here, the wind), suggesting that unchecked aggression is not ultimately sovereign.
Yuparṇa describes the Daityas being restrained by powerful winds; battered and forced to breathe heavily, they become overwhelmed and fall asleep, indicating a sudden cessation of their activity due to the storm’s force.
