अतितात्रस्य यज्ञस्थ फल प्राप्रोति मानव: । प्राप्तुयाच्च क्रतुफलं तथा पर्वणि पर्वणि
atirātrasya yajñasthaṁ phalaṁ prāpnoti mānavaḥ | prāptuyāc ca kratuphalaṁ tathā parvaṇi parvaṇi |
Dengan melakukan demikian, seseorang meraih pahala kurban Atirātra; dan juga, dengan memuliakan para Brahmana pada penutupan tiap parvan (tahapan upacara), ia memperoleh buah dari yajña Veda (śrauta).
वैशम्पायन उवाच
That sincere acts of reverence and giving—especially honoring Brahmins at the completion of each sacred observance—can yield spiritual merit equivalent to performing major śrauta sacrifices like the Atirātra.
Vaiśampāyana is describing the religious merit (phala) obtained through prescribed conduct: performing certain acts grants the fruit of the Atirātra sacrifice, and repeated honoring of Brahmins at each parvan grants the fruit of Vedic sacrificial rites.
