Kṣātra-dharma as the Public Foundation of Dharma (क्षात्रधर्म-प्रशंसा)

न चैतन्नैष्ठिकं कर्म त्रयाणां भूरिदक्षिण । चतुर्णा राजशार्दूल प्राहुराश्रमवासिनाम्,पर्याप्त दक्षिणा देनेवाले राजसिंह! यह भैक्ष्यचर्या क्षत्रिय आदि तीन वर्णोके लिये नित्य या अनिवार्य कर्म नहीं है। चारों आश्रमवासियोंका कर्म उनके लिये ऐच्छिक ही बताया गया है
Translation
“Wahai raja yang dermawan dengan dakṣiṇā berlimpah, bhikṣācaryā ini bukanlah kewajiban tetap (nitya) bagi tiga varṇa seperti kṣatriya dan lainnya. Dan wahai rājaśārdūla, bagi para penghuni keempat āśrama pun hal ini dinyatakan sebagai laku yang bersifat pilihan (opsional).”
