Śānti Parva, Adhyāya 52 — Bhīṣma’s Humility Before Kṛṣṇa and the Granting of Boons

True knowledge is not merely information but a luminous clarity that arises within; it is safeguarded by non-attachment. When the intellect is free from clinging to objects, opinions, or outcomes, comprehensive understanding can manifest without obstruction.
Vāyudeva addresses a “blameless” listener and offers a blessing/assurance: the listener will gain complete knowledge and, crucially, will not develop attachment in the intellect—indicating spiritual maturation where insight and detachment grow together.
