tasyāḥ prītaḥ sa śaucena bhārgavaḥ kurunandana | putrārthaṃ prārthayāmāsa caraṃ gādhes tathaiva ca ||
Wahai kebanggaan Kuru, sang Bhārgava (Ṛcīka) berkenan oleh kesucian dirinya. Demi memperoleh putra, ia memanjatkan doa—dan demikian pula memohon kebaikan bagi garis keturunan Gādhi.

The verse highlights śauca (purity) as an ethical force that wins the goodwill of the righteous and becomes a legitimate basis for blessings—especially concerning family continuity—showing that inner discipline and cleanliness support dharmic outcomes.
Vāyudeva narrates that the Bhārgava sage, pleased by a woman’s purity, prays/entreats for the granting of a son and similarly seeks welfare connected with Gādhi’s line, indicating the conferral of a boon grounded in her virtuous conduct.
