Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages

त्वया न वर्जित यस्मान्ममेदं हि महद्‌ वनम्‌ | दग्ध॑ तस्माद्‌ रणे रामो बाहूंस्ते छेत्स्यतेडर्जुन

tvayā na varjita yasmān mamedaṁ hi mahad vanam | dagdhaṁ tasmād raṇe rāmo bāhūṁs te chetsyate 'rjuna ||

“Arjuna! Karena engkau tidak menahan diri dan bahkan membakar rimba besarku ini, maka di medan perang Rāma (Paraśurāma) akan menebas kedua lenganmu.”
