प्रियार्थमपि चैतेषां ब्राह्मणानां महात्मनाम्‌ । नियोगादस्य च गुरोव्यासस्यथामिततेजस:,शत्रुओंको मारने और संताप देनेवाले नरेश! इन महामना ब्राह्मणोंका प्रिय करनेके लिये भी आपको इनकी बात मान लेनी चाहिये। आप अमित तेजस्वी गुरुदेव व्यासकी आज्ञासे हम सुहृदोंका और द्रौपदीका प्रिय कीजिये तथा सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌के हितसाधनमें लग जाइये

Transliteration

priyārtham api caiteṣāṁ brāhmaṇānāṁ mahātmanām | niyogād asya ca guro vyāsasyāmita-tejasaḥ ||

Translation

“Bahkan demi menyenangkan para brāhmaṇa yang berhati luhur ini, patutlah engkau memenuhi permintaan mereka. Dan, menaati titah gurumu Vyāsa yang bercahaya tak terukur, buatlah kami para sahabat baik serta Draupadī bersukacita, dan curahkan dirimu pada upaya yang menegakkan kesejahteraan seluruh dunia.”
