सृज प्रजा: पुत्र सर्वा मुखत: पादतस्तथा । कहा जाता है
sṛja prajāḥ putra sarvā mukhataḥ pādataś tathā |
Waiśaṃpāyana berkata: (Nārāyaṇa berfirman) “Ciptakanlah semua makhluk, wahai anakku, dari mulutmu dan demikian pula dari kakimu.” Dalam alur kisah, Nārāyaṇa, Penguasa semesta, menampakkan Brahmā lalu memerintahkannya: “Anakku, dari mulut hingga kaki—dengan anggota-anggota tubuhmu—wujudkanlah seluruh golongan makhluk.”
