एष एव तु सर्वेषामकार्याणां विधिर्भवेत्‌ । ब्राह्मणोक्तेन विधिना दृष्टान्तागमहेतु्भि:,जितने न करनेयोग्य पापकर्म हैं, उन सबके लिये यही विधि है। ब्राह्मणग्रन्थोंमें बतायी हुई विधिसे दृष्टान्त बतानेवाले शास्त्रोंकी युक्तियोंसे इसी तरह पापशुद्धिके लिये प्रायश्ित्त करना चाहिये

eṣa eva tu sarveṣām akāryāṇāṁ vidhir bhavet | brāhmaṇoktena vidhinā dṛṣṭāntāgamahetubhiḥ ||

Inilah satu-satunya aturan yang tepat bagi semua perbuatan terlarang: penebusan demi penyucian dosa hendaknya dilakukan dengan cara yang sama ini—menurut tata cara yang diajarkan para otoritas Brahmanis, diteguhkan oleh teladan-teladan dan oleh alasan yang bersumber dari āgama (tradisi suci).
