Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank
तत्त्वमेको महायोगी हरिनारायण: प्रभु: । जो लोग सर्वव्यापक हेतुओंद्वारा तत््वको जाननेकी इच्छा रखते हैं, उनके लिये महायोगी भगवान् नारायण हरि ही एकमात्र ज्ञातव्य तत्त्व हैं | ९० ई ।। ब्रह्मादीनां स लोकानामृषीणां च महात्मनाम्
tattvam eko mahāyogī harinārāyaṇaḥ prabhuḥ | yo lokāḥ sarvavyāpaka-hetubhir tattvaṃ jñātum icchanti, teṣāṃ mahāyogī bhagavān nārāyaṇo hariḥ eva ekamātraṃ jñātavya-tattvam | brahmādīnāṃ sa lokānām ṛṣīṇāṃ ca mahātmanām |
Waiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Satu-satunya tattva yang patut diketahui adalah Sang Penguasa, Mahāyogin—Hari Nārāyaṇa. Kebenaran ini diteguhkan pula bagi alam-alam Brahmā dan tatanan ilahi lainnya, serta bagi para ṛṣi yang berhati luhur.”
वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse identifies a single ultimate knowable reality (tattva): Bhagavān Hari Nārāyaṇa. Even when one pursues knowledge through universal causes and reasoning, the culmination is recognition of Nārāyaṇa as the supreme principle.
In the didactic setting of the Śānti Parva, Vaiśaṃpāyana continues a theological-philosophical exposition, emphasizing that the highest truth sought by sages and even the highest divine orders is the Lord Hari Nārāyaṇa.
