Mahābhārata 12.347
अतः आपके उस उपदेशसे प्रभावित होकर मैं प्रतिदिन अविनाशी भगवान् वैकुण्ठका यजन करता हूँ। उन्हींसे सर्वप्रथम लोकपितामह ब्रह्माजी प्रकट हुए हैं ।। मम वै पितरं प्रीत: परमेष्ठ्यप्पजीजनत् | अहं संकल्पजस्तस्य पुत्र: प्रथमकल्पित:
mama vai pitaraṁ prītaḥ parameṣṭhy apy ajījanat | ahaṁ saṅkalpajas tasya putraḥ prathamakalpitaḥ ||
Ketika Ia berkenan, Tuhan Yang Mahatinggi mula-mula melahirkan ayahku, Parameṣṭhin Brahmā. Aku sendiri adalah putra Brahmā yang lahir dari kehendak batinnya, ditetapkan di antara keturunan awalnya. Maka, digerakkan oleh ajaran itu, setiap hari aku memuja Vaikuṇṭha yang tak binasa.
नारद उवाच
The verse emphasizes devotion to the imperishable Lord (Vaikuṇṭha/Viṣṇu) as the supreme source of creation: even Brahmā, the cosmic progenitor, arises from Him. It also highlights the lineage of spiritual-cosmic transmission—Nārada as a mind-born son of Brahmā—grounding authority in a sacred origin.
Nārada speaks about his daily worship of Lord Vaikuṇṭha, explaining that the Lord first manifested Brahmā (his father). He then identifies himself as Brahmā’s saṅkalpaja (mind-born) son, among the earliest created beings, thereby situating his testimony within the cosmic genealogy.
