Atithi’s Direction to the Nāga-sage Padma at Naimiṣa (अतिथ्युपदेशः—नैमिषे पद्मनागोपाख्यानप्रस्तावः)
निदर्शनं चात्र भवति विश्वेषामग्ने यज्ञानां त्वं होतेति । त्वं हितो देवैर्मनुष्यैर्जगत इति
nidārśanaṃ cātra bhavati viśveṣām agne yajñānāṃ tvaṃ hoteti | tvaṃ hito devair manuṣyair jagata iti |
Arjuna berkata: “Di sini pun disebutkan sebuah perumpamaan turun-temurun: ‘Wahai Agni, engkau adalah Hotṛ bagi semua yajña.’ Engkau dinyatakan sebagai penghendak kebaikan bagi seluruh dunia—bagi para dewa dan manusia.”
