Educational Q&A

When forces hostile to dharma violently obstruct yajña and the moral-cosmic order it represents, protective action—even in extraordinary forms—becomes justified as a duty to restore balance and safeguard the righteous.

Bhīṣma describes the resolve to eliminate a Daitya who destroys sacrifices, specifically naming Hiraṇyakaśipu, and states that the protector will assume the Narasiṃha form to accomplish the gods’ purpose and end the threat.
